We made it. The NFL is back. Tonight the Chargers beat the Lions in the Hall of Fame Game, officially kicking off the start of the 2025 NFL season. While the outcome of this game won’t matter in the grand scheme of things, it’s just good to have football back. Perhaps it’s Boston fatigue. Or maybe just America’s love of the underdog. But the fact that 9 out of the 17 ESPN experts picked the Mavericks to topple the Celtics in this year’s NBA Finals was, at least from this perspective, fairly surprising.
